While summer presents an opportunity to relax and enjoy the sunshine, we still want our young patrons to continue to find ways to expand their minds while away from the classroom.

HCPL has an exciting, free reading service providing digital books through OverDrive. The OverDrive collection is an extension of the Harrison County Public Library's physical library, only it is available online with 24/7 access to eBooks and audiobooks. What better way to engage your student’s mind then through reading--and the eBooks read and audio books listened to via OverDrive count toward their number of books read for HCPL's Summer Reading Program!

This summer, the OverDrive Summer Read program offers another way to keep students reading during break. Free eBooks will be available all summer long, including two featured title(s): The Fat Boy Chronicles by Diane Lang & Michael Buchanan and Red Berries, White Clouds, Blue Sky by Sandra Dallas. The featured books will be prominently displayed and always available with no waiting at the digital library for quick and easy access from June 9 – July 9, 2015.

How does it work?
To use OverDrive, students with a valid Harrison County Public Library card can browse the secure website, download the titles they wish to read and enjoy them on their computers, tablets, smart phones and eReader devices. ** Don't have a library card? Click here for more information on how to get yours today.

Encourage your child to check it out! Boredom is not an option.
